broken doesn’t have to mean hopeless
We all have had the feeling of being broken. It could be because of a setback, a heartbreak, or even the twists and turns in life.
In that moment, you feel like you would never be able to piece yourself back together again. The beautiful truth is this: broken doesn't mean hopeless. It means you're human.
The body, for instance, takes that broken bone and builds it back stronger. In this case, the broken and fractured parts remind that person of survival and also remind them of the several ways they have to live.
There is a culture in Japan known as kintsugi, which depicts breaking pieces of pottery with a glue-like substance mixed with gold. Instead of breaking and hiding the cracks or the fractured parts, such pieces are highlighted by embracing their imperfections as some beauty.
Imagine this- every "crack" will become part of one's story, making such a person resilient and beautifully fragile.
The next time you feel broken, take the time to heal. Every step forward will put together pieces of yourself in a unique way.
Broken is not the end but the beginning of a more vibrant, courageous you.
