Do you really want to live forever?
So many adventures couldn’t happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
We let them come trueForever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever, whenever?
What if you could live forever? At first, it sounds like a dream — no more goodbyes, no more fear of time running out. But then think about it. Would forever still feel like living after a hundred years? Or two hundred? How long before the weight of endless days crushes the joy out of even the most beautiful moments?
Imagine sitting idly and watching those closest to you age, fade away while you stay the same. People change, the world changes but you are stuck here in this cycle of eternal motion as if you were a clock that never ran out of time.
Would you ever get tired of it? Tired of seeing generations rise and fall, of clinging to memories that you tightly hold between your fingers as they slip away?
Sometimes it is the fact that we are not given too much time which makes life precious. What we share for short while, whom we love, and what we do-they are all precious because they are not going to last. Perhaps, it is impermanence which makes life worth living.
