I’ll Search the Universe
I will look at the universe, pass through stars and distant galaxies, find hidden fragments of everything that feels right. Not because I know exactly what I’m looking for, but because there’s a pull, a quiet promise that something, or someone, is out there.
Perhaps only a kind of warmth that I have not yet discovered, or some presence that is so profound, it vibrates inside me to feel home. I shall enter worlds on the search for such signposts in meteor trails that are being whispered among cosmic dust which once made up the stars but now draws breath into each of us. It was not for the filling of empty places but instead finding pieces of my self in strange places: the hushed tones of the universe, so familiar.
I will follow the light of stardust, listen for echoes, moments that reach beyond words. And when time takes years or even a lifetime to pass along, there is beauty in wandering. Every turn and new constellation becomes part of the path to a more profound destination. Then perhaps I’ll continue looking not to find it but feel wonder in seeing. That, maybe, is what the universe wanted all along, to let me go there with open eyes and wonder at the beauty of what one doesn’t know. Somewhere in that vastness is an answer, quiet like a realization that, while I’m searching, I am home.
