Maybe One day I will be Irreplaceable to someone
Sometimes in life, we feel we are invisible, never heard, and never loved. Doubts become at times too heavy for our hearts; however, deep within ourselves, we always cling on to the hope that in the future, someone will actually appreciate us as we are. One day, people will see us, and they will realize that they have something irreplaceable, something so special they'll be afraid of losing it.
One day, someone will fear losing me.
Sounds like a fantasy, but it's not. This is the human longing for being loved and cherished, to be someone's priority, when each morning some man rises to wake up facing us and thinks to himself, "What would I ever do without her?" It is not said; instead, it is a silent understanding of two souls who understand each other on a level nobody can.
But one day, someone is going to look at me, and stop and think how lucky they are to have me around. They'll realize all my quirks and flaws, including my individuality, and count themselves lucky for making a place for themselves in my life. They will see my value in good times and in difficult times, too, and be happy to be by my side in both.
Someday, someone is going to want to spend every single minute of every day, every night, even every second with me-not because they have to but because they actually want to. I'll be the source of comfort, of joy, of that real love-the one they'll feel they're missing if I am not there. It will mean a deep bond with them, and they'll know that life won't be quite the same without me.
Maybe it's a desperate need to be loved, or maybe it is something else. It can be the need for that emotional connection we all crave-the space in which vulnerability will surface, where we are raw and real before others, without explanation and pretenses. It can all be this: no need to explain ourselves because the other already understands us, seen, heard, and understood.
Perhaps you're feeling the same. You wonder when that day comes or if it ever will. But let me tell you, it does. One day, you will be someone's favorite. You will be the person who makes someone afraid to lose you or the one he can't stop thinking of. It might not be today and might not be tomorrow, but that day is there, waiting for you.
Hold on to hope, remember that you are worth being loved, fully and completely. Until then, keep growing into the best of who you are; that's the person that is going to find someone to see and appreciate all of it. Sometimes when they look at you, they'll think,
"How did I get so lucky?
And that day, at last, you will understand that all the wait, heartbreaks, and doubts were all for the better because you found someone who makes of you their favorite every single day.
