one day you’ll never see me again
One day, without any warning, I’ll be gone from your life. No dramatic goodbyes or final words, just an increasing absence. It is almost melodramatic to say it, yet it is part of life, and we all know it well: the people who used to fill our days, who, in a way, were interwoven into the tapestry of our story, slowly fade away into memory.
We don’t often understand the weight of this until it happens until someone who can once be reached by a call or text is suddenly a ghost of who they used to be in our lives. It is not always due to a fallout or a fight; sometimes it happens through a gradual drifting and a slow unraveling of connection. Life puts us on paths we never see coming, and those paths don’t always run parallel forever.
But the twist is here: whereas I might disappear from your world, others come and fill up the space that I leave. Some people arrive and people leave in different chapters of our lives- and while they all leave their mark, while all shape who we are in ways that we don’t grasp entirely, that’s okay. It’s how we grow, how we learn what and who truly matter.
And on the day it will occur, think of it as a turning point, not an end: every leaving leads to arrivals, experience, and growth. Maybe sometime in the future, you will see and smile-not because I’m gone, but that I lived once in your pages.
