The art of crying

Sometimes, the strongest thing a girl can do is let herself cry. Tears are often thought to be ridiculous and weak, but for me, they are the purest form of release. Every tear released is like a piece of my soul speaking directly to my heart, allowing it to say words that cannot be put into words. As Gerard Way once said,

"Tears are words the heart can’t express."

Sobbing is an art-an unspoken language of vulnerability. Every tear carried within it the thought of everything I couldn't say. Sometimes, I just cry out of frustration, and sometimes, it's because I don't know how to express that sense of happiness. Sometimes, I just feel like my heart cannot carry so much weight. I always remember that

"the woman who doesn't need tears hasn't lived enough."

There is healing in tears. They wash me, bathing away the anguish and restoring my strength. Each falling tear makes me feel lighter, makes me breathe a little easier. It reminds me I do not carry my load myself. Washington Irving said it so simply:

"There is something sacred in tears. They are not the mark of weakness but of power."

I accept this and allow my tears to be part of the journey. They are the silent whispers from my soul, leading me toward healing, peace, and resilience.
