The Fading Colors of October
Ahh, October. There’s a special feeling in the air that makes everything seem warm and inviting. The trees become that brilliant orange, deep red, and sunny yellows, each leaf bursting with joy and catching my eyes. It is such a time when I would like to spend every moment outside absorbing all the beauty around me.
But with each passing day, the colors fade. The leaves fall to the ground, and the bright colors make way for bare branches and cool winds. Each fallen leaf feels like a small goodbye, reminding me that change is always coming. I find myself holding onto those golden afternoons where the sunlight feels soft and warm, creating a sense of comfort.
With every falling leaf, I am reminded that beautiful things don’t last. Those last pumpkins on porches begin to shrivel, and the scent of bonfires hanging in the air, their final stages announced. Ahh, October, you fill me with joy and sadness. Your transience teaches me to love every moment, and therefore to cherish the warmth and colors you bring-and as they go.
