You can’t force people to choose you
“Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth.”
There are moments in life when we try our best to be seen, chosen, and valued by others. We put our hearts on the line, hoping that the people around us will notice our efforts, will love us back, or will choose us just as we have chosen them.
But the truth is, no amount of effort, kindness, or love can force someone to see us the way we wish they would.
And that’s all right. Sometimes what seems to be a choice has very little to do with who we are and more with the other person’s path, their capacity, and not our worth at all.
Their inability to see it doesn’t change our worth. That’s not our work; convincing someone to see us appreciate us or hang on isn’t our job.
Instead, we need to learn how to honor ourselves, choose ourselves, and surround ourselves with people who see our light without needing a reminder.
Let’s appreciate the beauty of self-acceptance and remember: that the right people will always choose you without hesitation, and you’ll never have to fight for a place in your life.
